Agricultural Research Station, Siruguppa was started during 1937 and is located at 760.54’’East Longitude, 150.38’’ North Latitude and at an elevation of 380 meters from MSL. The station is situated in northern Dry zone (Region II, Zone-3) with an average rainfall of 575 mm from July to October in about 40 rainy days. The total area of the station is 76.90 ha with cultivable are of 60.00 ha. The area under irrigation is about 20 ha and in rainfed area is 40 ha. The remaining area is under roads and buildings (16.00ha)
