The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Koppal (Gangavati) was established in March 2004. The KVK administrative building consists of well-set staff rooms, a training hall, store room, computer room and library. A Kiosk was installed to access the comprehensive knowledge on agriculture and allied subjects to farmer. It is also having Plant Health Clinic (PHC) which helps to farmer to gain knowledge about pest and diseases and their management. PHC is also making efforts to disseminate recently released management tactics to farmers. Within span of four years, this KVK has made its way to reach the farming community and has created impact in the lives of farmers through demonstrations on ICM cotton, oilseeds, cereals like paddy, sorghum and foxtail millet and pulses, and also horticulture crops like pomegranate, fig, banana and flowers, apart from training to self help groups in income generating activities like Agarbhatti, soap powder and candle making.
