Seed is the basic input in Agriculture that carries and act as catalyst for all other improved technologies to increase Agricultural production. Therefore, the university has given priority for quality seed production and technology transfer through supply of quality seeds to the farming community by giving more emphasis on Seed Village Programme. The university has established nine seed processing plants and seed godowns in different Agricultural Research Stations that comes under the university covered six districts. University has initiated an unique programme viz. Kharif/Rabi Seed Day on May 25th and September 25th respectively, which will be conducted in all the centres once in Kharif and Rabi with an objective to provide seeds of latest varieties/hybrids latest technologies before the commencement season.
